How long does a Dyson battery last?
It depends on how often you use it and how much you use boost mode. Lithium-ion batteries lose capacity a little with every charge, so after a few years of regular use most Dysons run noticeably shorter than when they were new.
How much does a Dyson battery replacement cost?
The $95 service covers testing and servicing the machine. The battery itself depends on your model, and we quote it before fitting, so you can decide first.
Which Dyson batteries do you replace?
Dyson cordless stick vacuums, including the V7, V8, V10, V11, V12 and V15. If you’re not sure about your model, ask us.
Should I replace the battery or buy a new Dyson?
If the motor and body are in good shape, a new battery and a service usually bring a Dyson back to full runtime for far less than a new machine.
Why does my Dyson cut out when I use boost?
Boost draws far more power. A tired battery can’t supply it, so the machine shuts off to protect itself. It’s one of the clearest signs the battery needs replacing.

Yes. Pickup and return is $30 within about 15 km of the Melbourne CBD, or $125 together with the service. Outside Melbourne, you can post it in.
