Most often it’s a blockage, which makes it pulse or stop to protect the motor. A worn battery is the next most common cause, especially if it cuts out sooner each time.
A dirty or damp filter, a full bin or a blockage in the wand or head. Wash the filter, let it dry for 24 hours and check for anything stuck.
Usually a flat or worn battery, a battery that isn’t seated properly, or a trigger or power button fault. Charge it fully and try again. If there are still no lights, book a service.
No. Switch it off and let it cool. A burning smell can point to a motor, bearing or electrical fault, and running it can cause more damage.
