Dyson gives a 2-year guarantee on new consumer machines in Australia, and 1 year on refurbished machines. Check your purchase date and Dyson’s terms for your model.
What doesn’t Dyson’s guarantee cover?
Dyson’s terms exclude things like accidental damage, misuse, neglect and damage from not carrying out the recommended maintenance. Exclusions vary by machine, so check your manual.
My Dyson is out of warranty. Is it worth repairing?
Usually, yes. Most faults come down to the battery, the filter, a blockage or the cleaner head, which cost far less to fix than a new vacuum. We’ll tell you what it needs first.
Do I have rights beyond the Dyson guarantee?
You may. The Australian Consumer Law gives guarantees that can’t be excluded, on top of any manufacturer’s guarantee. The ACCC explains your rights.
Can you repair my Dyson if I’m outside Melbourne?
Yes. You can post it to us from anywhere in Australia. Inside Melbourne, pickup and return is $125 with the service.
