Dyson V8 repairs
in Melbourne.
V8 not charging, running briefly or losing suction? Describe the symptoms to Dusti before buying parts. We’ll discuss whether assessment is suitable for your exact machine and what the service covers.
Charging and runtime
It won’t charge
Tell us what the charging lights do, whether the charger has visible damage and when the problem started. A charging failure can’t be diagnosed from the model name alone.
It runs for less time
Record the cleaning mode, attachment, charge indication and approximate runtime. Those details help distinguish the symptom from an assumed battery diagnosis.
Suction or cleaner-head problems
Describe whether the main unit runs normally, whether pickup is weak and whether the problem changes with the head or wand attached. Tell us about any display or light pattern and the model-specific checks you have completed.
A battery replacement does not clear an obstructed air path. Equally, a head that stops spinning does not by itself confirm a fault in the main motor. Avoid buying several parts to test a guess.
Keep electrical housings out of water and follow the instructions for the exact attachment. Leave internal electrical repairs to appropriate support.
Is your V8 worth repairing?
Compare the complete proposed repair cost with the condition of the whole vacuum and a suitable replacement. Consider the battery, head, body and accessories together: replacing one component may not resolve other worn or damaged parts.
Ask about compatible parts availability and the terms applying to the proposed work. If replacement makes more sense, compare the condition, accessories and stated terms of current refurbished stock.
Service and transport
Dusti’s service is A$95. Optional Melbourne pickup and return adds A$30 within our service area—A$125 combined. Parts and fault-specific repair work may cost extra.
Discuss your symptoms and what the booking covers before paying. Postal delivery costs are separate. See the pricing breakdown and service inclusions.
Common questions
Does short V8 runtime mean I need a new battery?
Not necessarily. Cleaning mode, attachment and the machine’s condition all matter. Describe the actual runtime and charging behaviour before deciding on a replacement.
Is a replacement V8 battery included in the A$95 service?
Do not assume so. Parts and fault-specific repairs may cost extra. Confirm the scope and costs for your machine before booking.
Can Dusti collect my V8?
